Central Sky Lounge Apartment Hotel, at the northern end of Melbourne city, has introduced a videoconferencing suite to add to its popular conference and meeting facilities.
“In today’s world where companies have representatives all over the globe, we recognise that at most times it’s impossible, and often cost-prohibitive for people to physically meet together in one room, especially on a regular basis,” Central Apartments and Hotels Sales and Marketing Manager Peter Grace said.
“Our location within walking distance of Melbourne University, Melbourne Museum and St Vincent’s Hospital makes Central Sky Lounge a popular meeting venue.
“While videoconferencing is by no means a new concept, it is new to our company and will offer our existing and new clients more flexibility when holding their meetings with us.”
The new facilities can patch in from multiple sites around the world, meaning a company could, for example, have representatives in six countries that could all sit “face-to-face” around a Board table and meet in real time for a fraction of the cost of a physical meeting.
“The unit is ideal for small working groups, teams or individual knowledge workers who want to take communication over a distance to the next level from popular mediums such as Skype,” Mr Grace said.
“Where internet-based communications products can have live streaming and audio difficulties, our videoconferencing system provides a professional, crystal-clear audio and visual product as well as data sharing, along with expert technical back-up on-site.”
Bookings can be made by calling direct to Central Sky Lounge on (03) 8680 4400.
